Why one-to-one Spanish lessons work
Apps and group classes are useful, but most learners hit the same wall: they understand a lot, and when it’s their turn to speak, the words don’t come.
That gets fixed by speaking, with a teacher who corrects you at the right moment. In a one-to-one lesson you speak for most of the hour, not a few minutes. Every lesson is planned for you, so we spend the time on what you need, not on what the rest of a group needs.

I’m Leo, a native Spanish teacher based in London and the founder of My Spanish Lesson. I’ve helped adults of all ages, couples, teenagers preparing for exams and teams in companies learn to speak Spanish with confidence.

How the lessons work
- Free trial lesson (1 hour). We talk, I check your level and we agree on your goal. No commitment.
- Your personal plan. I tell you which level you’ll reach and how many hours it will take, based on how you learn.
- Lessons on Zoom. From home or the office, anywhere in the UK or abroad. All you need is a laptop or tablet.
- Materials included. The My Spanish Lesson book, exercises and the material we use in class.
- Progress you can feel. Each level is structured from A1 to C1, so you always know where you are and what comes next.
Lessons for every level and goal
Complete beginners (A1)
Never studied Spanish? Perfect. In your first lessons you’ll learn to introduce yourself, ask questions and handle everyday situations. Most beginners are having simple conversations within the first month. Prefer to start on your own? Try my online Spanish course for complete beginners.
Intermediate (A2–B1)
You know some Spanish but get stuck when speaking. We work on fluency, the past tenses and real conversations, so you stop translating in your head.
Advanced (B2–C1)
For learners who want to sound natural: idioms, nuance, debates and the Spanish used at work.
Spanish for couples
You can share your lessons with your partner or a friend. Same teacher, same time, lessons adapted to both of you, and you practise together between lessons.
GCSE, A-Level and DELE preparation
Focused lessons for exam candidates: speaking practice, writing tasks and exam technique.
Spanish for companies
Lessons for professionals and teams, in person in London or online. Ask me for a quote.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to learn Spanish with one-to-one lessons?
It depends on your starting point and how often you have lessons. As a guide, each level (for example A1.1) takes about 10 hours of lessons plus a little practice at home. With two lessons a week, most beginners can hold simple conversations within a month.
Do I need to buy books or materials?
No. My book My Spanish Lesson – Spanish Course A1 and all class materials are included.
Can I have lessons with my partner?
Yes. You can share a package with your partner or a friend. The lessons are adapted to both of you.
What happens in the free trial lesson?
It is a one-hour lesson with me on Zoom. We talk, I check your level, and I explain exactly what I would do in your case. There is no obligation to buy a package.
Are the lessons only online?
Lessons are on Zoom, so you can join from anywhere in London, the UK or abroad.
Which Spanish do you teach, Spain or Latin America?
I teach neutral, international Spanish and adapt to your goal: if you are moving to Mexico or Spain, we focus on that variety.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the lesson.
Do you prepare students for GCSE, A-Level or DELE?
Yes. Lessons focus on the exam format, speaking practice and writing tasks.
